The artists of Heron Crest Studios sponsor an open studio weekend each November.
Ever wonder what it's like to walk around an artist's studio, talk with a hat maker, or purchase a painting directly from an artist you have just met? On Open Studio Weekend you can see the work of artists displayed in what was once a 19th century cotton-spinning mill. The artists of Heron Crest Studios occupy the second floor. The studios are at 739 Mount Road in Aston (at the intersection of Mount and Red Hill roads.) Visitors enter Heron Crest Studios through the blue door under the canopy. Follow the music to the second floor. Enjoy refreshments while you immerse yourself in the art that is on view and for sale.
In addition, the first floor of the mill houses Heron Studios, who also sponsor an open studio on the same dates. These artists encouraged the founders of Heron Crest Studios to occupy the space above them, hence the name Heron Crest Studios.
